Forget Place Mats…Place Map!

A large unfolded map can make for a pretty table topper when a traditional cloth is MIA. Not only is it  kind of kitschy and visually appealing, but it’s also provides a platform travel-centric conversations.

Martha suggests using a hikers' maps made from Tyvek, a tear- and drip-resistant paper, but you can also pick up a single sheet of map wrapping paper from your local paper goods store and just toss it after.
