Weekend Cocktail #12: Misty Morning

When it comes to hosting a predrink or party, I find that preparing a large pitcher of a popular cocktail is an easy way to have fun yourself without worrying about making drinks for others. Pour in your mixers and alcohol, throw in some fresh or frozen fruit as the garnish, and poof: you're ready to go!

The latest LCBO insert has an interesting recipe that strikes me as a perfect cottage cocktail. It calls for Polar Ice Northern Maple Vodka, which I have yet to try, but if you want to use regular vodka instead, just add in 1/2 cup of maple syrup for that smoky sweet flavour.

Misty Morning

  • 1½ cups Polar Ice Northern Maple Vodka
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 4 cups fresh apple juice
  1. Add all ingredients to a pitcher.
  2. Stir and pour into rocks glasses filled with ice.
  3. Garnish with frozen cranberries.
