Talkin’ S’MAC

P1080120

No I’m not being short with you. S'MAC is short for Sarita's Macaroni & Cheese, an East Village restaurant specializing in one of my fave foods of life: real baked mac and cheese!

My closest girlfriends share my passion for homemade mac so it was a no brainier stop for the four of us to try for lunch.

The menu offers a plethora of flavours of mac and cheese, from parisienne and cajun to buffalo chicken and masala. You can even build your own, choosing different cheeses and ingredients to add in.

We each ordered a different flavour: I chose alpine with swiss, gruyere and slab bacon and the others went with the classic all american, four cheese with cheddar, muenster, gruyere and pecorino and last but not least, napoletana with mozarella, roasted tomatoes, garlic, and fresh basil. They were each delish but my favourite was the alpine.

New Yorkers take note you can order it online to your door through delivery.com although it may taste the best fresh from their ovens.
