If you've ever read a Canadian shelter magazine, than you've undoubtedly come across the name Southhill Home. Nestled on Dupont street near Toronto's Designers Walk, Southhill carries a well edited collection of furniture and accessories from international designers that are often exclusive to the shop.
Southhill's knowledgeable staff and knack for stocking well-crafted standout pieces that appeal to both traditional and contemporary tastes has made them a must-visit for any design enthusiast... so obviously I had to stop by and check it out myself.
On my maiden voyage to the store, I couldn't help but ooh and ah over the eclectic offerings. Owner Paul Harper was kind enough to walk me through the showroom.
Here are some of my favourite pieces:
Antique brass finish table lamp, $1,385 CAD
Alpaca with light goat leather desk accessories designed by Marcelo Lucini, $165-285 CAD
Hadley bench by Oly, $2,250 CAD
Polished varenne iron opera side chair by Casamidy, $1,625 CAD
Rectangular horn table lamp, $2,920
Tony side mirrored table with antiqued silver finish by Oly, $1,170 CAD
Bleached oak 3 panel screen ($3,750 CAD), Jeremy dark shell console table by Oly ($3,900 CAN) and Neta zebra-printed bench by Oly ($1,500 CAD)

Here’s a closer look at the stunning tray (the photo doesn’t do it justice):
