I'm Smitten with Smitten Kitchen

Stumbling upon Smitten Kitchen was one of the best discoveries I've made in blogland. I am very late in joining the food chatter of husband and wife duo Alex and Deb, but as they say, "better late than never!"penne a la vodka

Whether you're a fellow foodie or a beginner cook eager to learn, make sure to make Smitten Kitchen one of your regular reads.  Deb's writing is refreshingly honest and candid; it feels as if you're reading an e-mail from your best friend on how to make their signature dish, complete with hilarious anecdotes and real life language.

The plethora of recipes are easily accessible in organized categories and a handy tool section, including conversion charts, takes some of the intimidation out of the process. Another bonus for curious cooks is that Deb and other readers rapidly respond to any questions or comments you leave about recipes.

But my favourite part of Smitten Kitchen is the stunning photography! The amazing shots depicting both the cooking process and finished product are a feast in itself!

so unpretty

Even Martha herself has said that Smitten Kitchen "is a very cute web site” so don't take it from me - take it from Ms. Stewart!
